Has been helping breastfeeding families since 2010 and is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and registered with the Canadian Lactation Consultant Association. She also holds a Diploma in Child Psychology.
Her areas of interest include neurobehavioral models of infant feeding, oral anatomy and the implication of birth practices on breastfeeding. She has spent time with Dr. B. Ghaheri in Portland, Oregon to expand her knowledge of lingual and labial restrictions and recently, attended the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine international conference in Rotterdam, South Holland to collaborate with world leaders on evidence-based practices in lactation medicine.
Prior to working as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Julia worked as a translator and is fluent in French. When not helping breastfeeding families at the Willow Family Medicine Breastfeeding & Infant Nutrition Clinic alongside Dr. MacGregor, she enjoys being outdoors, exercising and cuddling babies. She looks forward to helping you and your family meet your breastfeeding goals.
