Prenatal Lactation & Infant Feeding Consultations

Our prenatal lactation and infant feeding consultation is a supportive space where expectant parents can receive expert guidance before their baby arrives. Led by a physician, these personalized visits are designed to help you feel informed, confident, and empowered, whether you're planning to breastfeed, chestfeed, bottle-feed, induce lactation, or are still exploring your options.

This program is especially beneficial for families who:

  • Have experienced previous feeding challenges (e.g., nipple pain, slow weight gain, low milk supply, early weaning)

  • Have had any breast/chest/nipple surgery

  • Are navigating anatomical concerns (e.g., tethered nipples)

  • Have insulin resistance, gestational diabetes, type 2 diabetes, or PCOS

  • Have faced fertility challenges

  • Are expecting multiples or planning to tandem nurse

  • Are building families through adoption or surrogacy, and wish to induce lactation

  • Have a personal or family history of psychiatric conditions or eating disorders

Every consultation is tailored to your unique needs and goals. You’ll receive:

  • A comprehensive medical and mental health review with a physician

  • A physical exam

  • Individualized education and practical guidance

  • Demonstration of key feeding techniques

  • A personalized plan to help you build and maintain your milk supply

  • Support for involving your family in your feeding and lactation journey

We’re here for you every step of the way. Postnatal follow-up is available, and families with ongoing or complex needs will be transitioned to our postnatal lactation and infant feeding program.
