Since March 2020, the Government of Alberta has compensated family doctors to use virtual care platforms. This innovative solution not only meets patient needs during the COVID-19 pandemic but foster enhanced continuity and collaboration for everyday family medicine concerns.

Willow Family Medicine uses doxy.me, a simple, free and secure platform for patients. It can be accessed from PC and Mac based products both as a desktop and phone based application. Once an appointment is booked with a specific provider, the patient is sent the secure link to the provider's virtual waiting room. The team at WFM is excited about this opportunity to better care for their patients and hope to continue offering this option as permitted by the Government of Alberta.

Please note, not all issues and concerns can be attended to virtually and the decision to use this tool will be made by your provider. Further, virtual appointments are subject to specific rules which will be detailed in the pre-visit consent and questionnaire. Both are required to be completed to proceed with virtual medical care.
